An event accompanying the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition
The official opening will take place on September 25 at the Museum of Polish History. The evening will include a concert by the famous pianist Krzysztof Jabłoński, winner of many international competitions.
The next day, the legendary jazz pianist Adam Makowicz will perform for the Congress audience. From September 26 to 28, the Museum’s main hall will turn into the largest piano exhibition in Poland.
The Piano Congress program includes lectures, discussions, and workshops with experts.
There are both free and paid sessions, and events are held in Polish and English.
Visitors will be able to find out:
- What is the difference between a grand piano and an upright piano?
- Who is a piano tuner?
- How do you record a piano?
- How do you amplify it on stage?
- What pianos did Chopin play?
There will also be presentations of new technologies, including self-playing systems that let you enjoy concerts at home.

The organizers – the Association of Polish Piano Tuners – want to show the beauty of this instrument and bring it closer to all music lovers.
