Carpentry workshop

A piano is made of 90% wood. Typically, at least eight different types of wood are used in its construction. Understanding and skilfully working with this material are essential in both the production and restoration of a piano.

The woodworking shop handles the veneering of instruments and also prepares pianos before the restoration process begins. It is also where new wooden components are crafted, modelled on the original parts that are no longer suitable for repair.

Our woodworking department consists of nine experienced carpenters who, under the leadership of Grzegorz—a master craftsman with over 30 years of experience—perform masterful woodwork.
